The 25 Hour Convenience Store is proud to announce a fantastic new signing to the label. The IC1′s have joined us, and have booked their place in the 25 Hour Galactico’s
London’s IC1s, are rapidly becoming a word-of-mouth sensation on the London indie live circuit.
Having been hand-picked by Creation Records founder and long time friend of 25 Hour,Mr Alan McGee, they headlined showcases at his Greasy Lips clubnight. In a meteoric 12 months, have shared stages with The Cribs, The Charlatans, and Tinie Tempah,amongst others. They have been performing live all over London, and were invited to perform at the Tim Burgess (The Charlatans) curated ‘Friends Of Mine‘ Festival in Manchester, picking up a small army of devoted fans on the way including McGee who describes frontman Daniel Coburn as “absolutely brilliant” and went on to say “Coburn has it all, he can sing, they can play, they have the right attitude and more importantly the songs”.
Pete Donaldson of XFM/Absolute Radio said ‎”They’re a little bit Libertines, a little bit Ramones – but they’re certainly a 100 % London.” Whack Jack” must surely serve as a stomping, crowd pleaser live’.
Having heard their 3 track “Lowering the Tone Demo EP” and having seen the boys performing live, 25 Hour‘s Gary Powell jumped at a chance to sign the band.
