With just over a week to go we have another exclusive taster of “This Music Is Organic” from up and coming new 25 Hour artist Mario Nardi.
This short video shows no Mario at all, but the soundtrack gives you a taster of what is going to be on the Ep,

This is a priority release for 25 Hour, as we think this young man is really going places. We would love your feedback. Please feel free to leave us a message on the forum.

Here we have a live performance by new 25 Hour signing Mario Nardi.
With the upcoming release of his debut Ep This Music Is Organic, Mario has been performing tracks from the Ep at venues around London.
This video for “Im Shakin” sees Mario performing at Lab G in Brixton London. Filmed by a fan, the quality of the video isn’t great but Mario’s distinctive vocal style never fails to entertain.
Look out for the release of the Ep later this Month.

After a hectic summer, 25 Hour Convenience Store return to the fray with the debut release from Mario Nardi.
Mario, a Sardinian born singer songwriter has based himself in the UK since 2007.
Having originally started his musical career as a drummer, Mario quickly made the transition to playing guitar and began his voyage as a singer/songwriter.
Having spent many a late night writing, in the studio,or performing acoustic sets at small venues around London, Mario has finally recorded his debut EP “This Music Is Organic”
The Ep is produced by Australian producer Brendan Picchio, and is in Mario‘s words “A small package with thousands of things to be discovered inside”
We couldn’t agree more…..

Long time friends of 25 Hour Convenience Store‘s Gary Powell, The Honorable South. have just released their official video for ”Beast” which is taken from their debut album ‘ I love my tribe‘.(2012)
The band hail from New Orleans in America,and were formed in 2008 by Matthew Rosenbeck and Charm Taylor and had their first release in the form of their “Dirty in the Light Ep” way back in 2009.
They combine a genre busting sound of ‘Electric Soul,Rock n Roll ‘ and have toured around America and Europe spreading their unique sound. We at 25 Hour are hoping to get a release from them later in the year, but for now enjoy the new sound of New Orleans.

After spending the winter of 2011 in the studio working on new material. The latest recruit to the 25 Hour stable, Mario Nardi is nearly ready to unleash his fantastic talents to the world.
With his expressive writing and laid back vocals, we feel its going to be a big year for the Italian born singer. Check out this short video of “This music is organic” which will give you a taste of his talents, and keep your eyes on the 25 Hour site for the release date of his debut EP.

We are pleased to finally be able to bring you a video produced by top photographer Rankin showing off this seasons collection by fashion designer Todd Lynn, for London Fashion Week.
25 Hour Convenience Store duo Gary Powell and Max Mistry have written and produced original soundtracks for Lynn’s catwalk fashion shows for several years now at London Fashion Week (LFW) have had one of their more haunting pieces of work set to video by Rankin, who manages to really capture the vibe of the music and clothing in the short piece. Your feedback as ever is much appreciated.

25 Hour‘s head man Gary Powell in conjunction with The Noise Kittens bring you “MAYDAY” on the 18th May at Hooga, Regency House, 16 Victoria Road, Chelmsford.
Live on stage we present Polarsets a 3 Piece Indie / Electro outfit fom Newcastle-Upon-Tyne who are causing quite a buzz on the scene and have recently signed to Moda - the original home of Fenech Solar,Andy George and Jaymo from BBC Radio alongside them we have Plastic Youth, who have just released “Deathrow” with us on 25 Hour Convenience Store,There will be Dj sets from Libertine Powell as well as Fete and Gigabyte ( Noise Kittens)
Entrance is a mere £3.00 before 10pm, with drinks promotions all night

25 Hour Convenience Store provide soundtrack for Todd Lynn London Fashion Show. (LFW)

During February’s London Fashion Week (LFW), top international designer Todd Lynn once again enlisted the services of Gary Powell and 25 Hour cohort Max Mistry to write the soundtrack for his catwalk show at Somerset House in London. The Canadian celebrity designer who has dressed everyone from Mick Jagger to Janet Jackson has been using handwritten scores by the duo for several years now.
Rather than the conventional approach of using well known songs in his shows Todd Lynn prefers each season’s show has a distinct theme, based on the design of the clothes and the vibe that he is trying to portray. This season there was a strong medieval theme to the music.
Having received a great response, music from the show, has also been used in a short video by British photographer Rankin, incorporating clothes from the show and a particularly haunting piece by the duo.
The score is a real departure from Powell’s work with The Libertines/Dirty Pretty Things and highlights his versatility as an accomplished writer in his own right coupled with the production talents of Mistry.

25 Hour Convenience Store are set to release the debut single for a fantastic band hailing from Southend in Essex.
Plastic Youth have been in existence for just over a year now, and recorded their debut offering’s “Death Row” and “Animal Style” during 2011. Produced by Nick McCabe (Verve and Black Ships guitarist), who the band describe as “a Fucking genius”, and claim “it just feels right working with him. He really understands us.”
The double AA sided single will be available on limited edition 7” inch vinyl from April 16th 2012, and is set to be released digitally on the 23rd April through 25 Hour Convenience Store. ‘Death Row‘ describes the current breakdown in society, and the problem of youth fighting youth, when “we should be fighting the oppressive government and the banks”.
The band say they “write political and ambiguous songs, not love songs about losing your pony to aids or hair rock anthems about going down in a lift, we write songs about how we feel and what affects us and our friends and family”
The promo video for the single was written and directed by Irvine Welsh collaborators Dean Cavanagh and Bob Morris, who have made promotional videos for Keane, and Gene as well as all of Irvine’s TV productions, Wedding Belles, Dose & Good Arrows.
Interestingly enough the band are related to Higgs/Bosen element scientists Dr Higgs who laid the basis of the Big Bang Theory.
James Higgs of the band comments “There’s limited choice, around where we live, Southend is a very jealous town and has a solitary, island mentality. Our local radio station is around the corner from where I live, the so called trendy DJ with his jeans below his arse won’t play our music, but XFM and NME will, how does that work? ”

On hearing the bands demo, long time friend of 25 Hour and fan of Plastic Youth. Alan McGee tweeted ‘I hope this is the first nail in the coffin for Mumford and Sons.’
Video producer Dean Cavanagh – “This band are really gonna crack it they remind of a lot of bands from when I was growing up, but still sound fresh, and they are really top lads”
