Scottish songbird Lizzie Nightingale is preparing to take her place as one of the UK’s most talented new artists. Hailing from Glasgow, Scotland, Lizzie spent her early years doused in Bowie, The Beatles and Queen as well as a few Motown classics courtesy of her mother who was a singer and performer. Harmonies and melodies came easily and after mastering clarinet and everything major to minor in between, the music bug took control.
Lizzie, with her goals firmly in sight, released a compilation of demo tracks in a bid to be heard. She gained immediate support from Radio 1, Radio 2 and Galaxy FM and sold units in the thousands in the UK and Japan. The success of the EP led to a Maida Vale session for BBC Radio 1. Her forthcoming debut album is the result of Lizzie finding her own individual sound. After signing to 25 Hour Convenience, an indie label owned by Gary Powell of The Libertines fame, this timid yet vivacious Scottish girl is gearing up to showcase her raw and real talent.
2011 sees Lizzie recording her album with top producer Jon Moon (Amy Winehouse, Dirty Pretty Things, The Kooks) and touring with her super talented band. This young lady has a bright future ahead of her-multi instrumentalist, songwriter and producer, not to mention her flawless vocal skills, she ticks all the boxes required for success.
